Kylee and Shem are friends of my husband and I. We met them not long after we moved to New Orleans 8 years ago. There really aren't any words to describe this couple's coolness. Yes really. Their journey to this day is filled with adventures and some faraway places. When they sent out the announcement that they were FINALLY getting married I told them I had to gift them a portrait session.
Their unique individuality somehow blends together like a perfectly made martini. We wanted to start at the old Conti Wax Museum where they had their first date but sadly it is gone. So instead they choose this really cool tiki bar Latitude 29 in the French Quarter. We did some posed and mostly candid photographs in the bar before we hit the streets and turned them loose with their props and again, yes, that coolness.
Below are the results. And if you are wondering about the straight-edge razor...no they are not serial killers! Shem uses a straight-edge blade to shave. Not all blades are used nefariously! Come along for the ride! And imagine yourselves dancing around, in and out of reality for just an hour or two!
Give me a call to inquire about rates and availability. I like to think I take a rather unique and modern approach to photographing couples, family and individuals' portraits. Whether you are getting married, having an anniversary or just for the fun of it. 504-920-8703.
