Wedding Tip: New Orleans Street Musicians
In New Orleans there are three things we embrace: Food, Music and Friends.
Today I just briefly want to introduce you to a little sliver of what and who you will encounter while strolling through the streets of the French Quarter.
Oftentimes, Royal Street during daytime (and sometimes nighttime!) hours is blocked off for a few blocks which allows street musicians to set up and play. People stop, listen and often dance, usually loving the music so much they buy a CD or download.
And sometimes the guy or gal you see sitting on a milk crate playing a tune might just be someone famous.
Ask locals about Grandpa. You'll find him on recent videos. Quite the bluesman. Below is a shot I took as I was leaving a wedding and heading home. I always keep my camera out for the walk back to my car or bike because these are the shots I eventually share with the client as a gift.
While planning your New Orleans wedding or elopement add some free time after or during your booking with me to stop and dance like no one is watching!
