Ana and Frederick were married at New Orleans City Park with her brother and his best friend in attendance. Frederick made it clear that the photography was to be all about Ana saying "...she is the most beautiful woman and no matter how bad I look she is the star."
Challenge accepted.
And what a challenge it was.
Frederick had a violinist and rose petals ready to be spread for their first dance. We were set up just outside Parkview Terrace (a location for a larger indoor wedding with a wrap-around galley outside overlooking the oak trees draped in Spanish moss.
And in the middle of the ceremony, the skies opened no longer just threatening, but unleashing a downpour of epic proportions.
Thanks to the Reverand Charles R. Cross we were close to a covered area and the ceremony continued.
All a little damp but definitely happy!
After the ceremony we headed down to the their hotel in the French Quarter, Sheraton New Orleans to wait out the rain. We grabbed umbrellas and decided to brave the downpour heading to the Quarter for some fun portraits and candids.
Here are some of my favorites.
