An Intimate Non-Traditional Wedding in Jackson Square New Orleans
This beautiful couple had their wedding planned in Jackson Square. The days leading up to their wedding promised rain, lots of it. Our secondary location for the ceremony was the Seance Room at Muriels. While it is a cool room it is not really conducive for photographing a wedding ceremony as it is small and dark (lights can't be adjusted up). Lightstands can be brought in but with nowhere to put them without it becoming even more crowded. So we were holding our breath hoping the rain would hold off for the ceremony. We started at the Roosevelt Hotel for some classic photos with the Christmas Lights in the Lobby. Then we took a limousine to The Carousel Bar at the Hotel Monteleone for some quick shots. Then on to one more place for some bar photos then on to Jackson Square because the rain had stopped!! Yay! They had a lovely ceremony with about 20 guests in the square overlooked by St. Louis Cathedral. After we did some artistic shots of just the two of them in Muriel's Restaurant's Seance Room. While the bagpipe second line may have been cancelled it still turned out just perfect! They completed the evening with a carriage ride back to the Roosevelt for Sazarac's.
