Beautiful Non-Traditional Wedding at Terrell House
I recently photographed an intimate wedding at the Terrell House in New Orleans, Louisiana. I always love working there as its so pretty and the staff is amazing. Their food is wonderful. They provide so much that it makes it very easy to plan your destination wedding. Linda is their contact person who is gracious and accommodating. Contact her to discuss booking this venue. Her information is at the end of this journal entry.
This wedding started at New Orleans City Park for portraits under the beautiful oak trees draped in moss. We met later for their ceremony and reception. They choose just before sunset for the start which is perfect light for their wedding photographs. A short and moving ceremony with a tradition I hadn't heard of called blessing the ring. Their rings are passed to each guess to bless. It is highly emotional and really something special for the smaller, intimate wedding setting. Not long after the band fired up and cocktails flowed. Before I left I popped inside to grab some cake shots and ran into this scene with the family gathered around a phone. They were face-timing members who couldn't be present. Technology is really amazing when you can that. Very cool. Anyway I think the pictures tell the story best. So without further adieu check out these artistic and candid images from their lovely wedding.
