Rain Proof Wedding Makeup and Hair - New Orleans Weddings
This is an easy, kind of, cop-out tip.
Ladies, your wedding day is a very special occasion and not just because you are dressing up and getting married.
You are paying for professional photographs so do yourself a favor. Don't DIY your makeup and hair. Unless you are a professional quite well-versed in both and in our climate you are doing yourself a disservice. Rain can be a huge hassle!
And I am not telling you this to bump you to spend more money. The difference in your photographs will be like night and day.
Professionals have products we don't have access to and know which ones to use that best suits you and your skin or hair. When it is raining, hair can turn into a giant ball of fluff (kind of like what you get out of your vacuum cleaner after following 3 full size dogs) so unless looking like a poodle after a carwash is your thang, call a pro.
Yeah, you can spend up to $190 for both but I guarantee you will find it money well spent.
Below are a few shots before the rain and after it rained here in New Orleans.
Understand that the after shots were taken in pouring rain - scratch that - flooding rain. Of course she had an umbrella but we know what happens, we get wet anyway.
Her makeup and hair looked great.
And, no they were not glued on!
What you don't know is that in the second shot with the rose, the rain is coming down in buckets and I'm covered in a poncho with a trash bag over my camera. Now that is some good hair and makeup!

We have worked together often recently. (it rains a lot in New Orleans...but she's always just brilliant in what she does!) I've been waiting for her bio but she's been so busy flying between New Orleans and Michigan I just have to ad lib. She recently cut my hair. OMG, best cut in years! I know Christine has spent a tremendous amount of time with continuous education in the newest practices and equipment. Get in touch with her soon because she books out fast.
