I live in the best city to host a wedding.
Really.
Where else can you plan a party where your guests really get up and participate in all the activities you planned?
Yup, here in New Orleans.
So I know planning your wedding, whether it is a very private elopement or big lavish wedding, generates an incredible amount of stress. I hear it from you when we have our chats. But, once you get here it's time to tie up loose ends (give yourself two days) and get your marriage license.
Then have some fun.
Yeah that's what I just said. Have some fun! Let down your hair, throw on your favorite sundress or worn jeans with a comfortable pair of shoes and see our city. But most importantly - have fun! Take your time and relish every single second because it goes by quick my friends.
Check out Frenchmen Street for great music.
There are several great little restaurants run by very talented chefs within a short distance of the French Quarter. Definitely plan a trip to shop on Magazine Street.
Do the tourist thing - book a tour, go see the bayous and her creatures or a night time walking ghost tour through the streets of the French Quarter. End at Lafittes Blacksmith Shop on the other end of Bourbon Street.
Hold hands, smile, drink, eat, laugh and cry. But most of all have some fun!
