It is kind of funny how things go. For years I have done 'day after' shoots with wedding couples who spend their honeymoon here. I never thought of naming it or promoting it specifically. Its just something we end up doing after talking on the phone and planning out the best way to have a ton of fun, no stress and a memorable wedding.

Doing portraits and candids the day after is a photographic record of how you felt, what you did and how you looked at the beginning of your new journey. It really doesn't matter whether you're having an intimate wedding or even elopement. There is this natural energy around you that with the right photographer comes through the lens without intervention. Its really quite beautiful. And in the future 5, 10, 20 years from now when your kids, friends or you sit down and watch a slideshow from that day the feeling and emotions of that day will give a whole new insight and perspective. Remembering those moments is one thing, but memories can lie to us. Photographs tell the truth. And it is beautiful.
