If you are going to get married in a park in New Orleans (or anywhere for that matter), I highly recommend City Park as it is truly my favorite.

What you see in most of the photos I have published is a teeny tiny portion of the park. This area is typically where couples choose to marry.

And I love it.

But after the ceremony and the shots under the forest of giant Southern Oaks draped in Spanish moss, surrounded by an old stone bridge over the bayou, you must consider venturing out to explore.

This park is HUGE. So many little nooks and crannies for private and relaxed portraits and just some fun. 

As you plan your New Orleans wedding, go for the traditional areas for your ceremony as they are gorgeous but if you have the time venture out beyond the known to little vignettes of beauty.
