How to Book a Tour in New Orleans
There is SO MUCH to see here in New Orleans! How are you going to know what to see while you're here?
Besides the obvious French Quarter and Garden District tours, there are tours for air-boating, fishing, antebellum, ghosts, biking, cemetery...the list just keeps growing. What a great opportunity to set up a tour or two for your family!
You could book a tour to a cool location followed by dinner. I'm not exaggerating. So to make it simple for you here are two tips for stress-free tours in New Orleans.
If you are looking to book a mule-drawn carriage ride, whether as an exit from your wedding reception, a romantic ride or a historical tour, contact Royal Carriages, Inc. I've blogged about them before but let me give you some insider details.
The drivers are amazing, the mules are cared for better than humans (I know this because I come from a family that bred horses) and the tours are great! I am partial to my husband, Kevin, only because I am blown away by his historical accuracy mixed with a ton of humor (seriously blown away!) But, there are other drivers who rock out a good story also.
Call them directly to book a carriage or carriages. Many options are available, including both private and group tours. Carriages can take you to the Garden District and even cemeteries.
The second tip is for ALL other tours and trips - call Cher Miller with All About New Orleans Visitor & Tour Center at 504-520-0701.
Be sure to tell her Pam Reed sent you. She is a gregarious lady with so much knowledge who will tailor your tour to your needs, often offering deals and freebies. So don't hesitate to give her a call. Guys, want to go on a day fishing trip? She's got you covered. Foodie tour? Yup! Want to rent scooters, bicycles or golf carts? She can make it happen.
